RICS ‘Red Book’ compliant market valuations, both current and retrospective, can be provided for ATED, Inheritance and Capital Gains Tax purposes, covering mainly prime central and greater London.
Reinstatement cost assessments are required for buildings insurance purposes. These help ensure that a property is properly covered for the full amount it would realistically cost to reinstate, allowing for demolition, labour, materials, professional fees and compliance with building and statutory legislation. We cover principal dwellings, listed/heritage property, farms, rural estates and equine facilities.
Desktop rebuild cost assessments can be a timely and cost-effective means of ensuring adequate cover for smaller, non-listed properties. These are undertaken remotely using recognised construction cost and mapping databases and can generally be provided within 3-5 working days.

Jonathan is a Chartered Surveyor and Registered Valuer. Previously a Partner within Knight Frank’s central London team, Jonathan established Saxon & Co in 2009 and specialises in providing Red Book valuations mainly within prime central London and rebuild cost assessment valuations for country houses, older/listed and heritage properties, farms and rural estates.

Our team of highly experienced and professional surveyors have complementary backgrounds including valuation, agency, loss adjusting and insurance.

Jenny has a first-class Honours degree in Education and ran a small financial services business for several years. Outside work, Jenny is a keen runner and open water swimmer.

Surveyor
Mark has been undertaking insurance surveys in central London since 2001. Previously a Fine Arts and Chattels auctioneer, Mark is restoring a Grade II listed Devon farmhouse and various old cars. Mark covers London and the West Country.
Marcus Forstner
Surveyor
Marcus is an experienced Associate Building Surveyor and insurance consultant with a background in loss adjusting and high-net-worth risk consultancy. He has a particular interest in country houses and covers London, Kent and the East of England.
Sebastian Pryke
Surveyor MA(Hons) FSA(Scot)
Sebastian has been an insurance surveyor for several years, prior to that a historic buildings specialist at Hiscox, Head of Furniture at Phillips and Secretary of the Scottish Historic Houses Association. Sebastian covers Scotland and the North of England combining insurance surveys with antique furniture valuations.
