What We Do
Valuations are governed by RICS Valuation – Global Standards 2017 (The Red Book) and this covers freehold and leasehold market capital and rental valuations across all property sectors. Most of our clients use us to provide valuations for tax purposes (capital gains, inheritance and ATED).
Knowing the importance of the valuation to the client and that the valuation may be subject to review by HM Revenue & Customs, we comprehensively research and use our local market knowledge and contacts to arrive at an accurate, realistic and defensible valuation figure.

Chartered Surveyor
Jonathan Saxon is a Chartered Surveyor and Registered Valuer. Previously a Partner and head of office within Knight Frank’s Central London team, Jonathan established Saxon & Co in 2009 and now specialises in providing “Red Book” valuations, mainly within central London.

We enjoy what we do.
We are a small practice and rely on referrals and repeat business. It is important to us that we “get it right” and that our clients feel they have received a service of value. The majority of the properties we report on are within central London postcodes with values ranging typically from £2million to circa £25million. The majority of our work comes from referrals and we undertake a significant proportion of our valuations for overseas based clients of international Banks, Solicitors and Trust Managers.
We have a competitive fee scale but we tend to adjust this on a case by case basis to reflect the degree of difficulty (or otherwise) of the proposed task.

Jonathan Saxon
Chartered Surveyor
Jonathan’s career in property started in 1986 working as a residential agent with a firm of Chartered Surveyors in Spitalfields. Most of the intervening period has been spent in London, working for a wide variety of public and private clients. Family commitments permitting, weekends are usually spent on two wheels.
Marita Bianco BSc
Surveyor
Marita has a first-class Honours degree in Architectural Technology. Having travelled extensively, worked in Africa and raised a young family, Marita has been undertaking residential surveys in London and the South East since 2011.
Mark Dunscombe
Surveyor
Mark has been undertaking residential surveys in central London since 2003. Previously a fine arts and chattels auctioneer, Mark has restored a Grade II listed Devon farm house and owns eleven cars, not all of them classics!
Jenny Ornellas
Administrator
Jenny has a first-class Honours degree in Education and ran a small financial services business for several years. Outside work, Jenny has twin boys and dogs, is a keen swimmer and is doing her first triathlon this year.
